Just one goal in his opening ten Premier League appearances this campaign had numerous doubting whether Dominic Calvert-Lewin's peak were behind him.

But, a mere four weeks afterwards, he is the hottest attacker in England following scoring 7 goals in 6 consecutive games.

His newest strike, in a stalemate versus Sunderland, elevated his tally to eight, seeing him become the top English scorer in the Premier League this term.

A Stunning Resurgence

The 28-year-old moved to Leeds United on a free transfer in the summer, following a nine-year stint with Everton that was blighted by fitness issues in its latter stages.

But, the numbers supporting his resurgence in Daniel Farke's new counter-attacking 3-5-2 system are genuinely remarkable.

His six-match scoring run sees him in prestigious company as just the 11th English player to score in six or more successive Premier League outings.

To provide context, even England captain Harry Kane did not achieve a run lasting this many games - his longest is two separate five-match runs.

And the sole English striker to outdo Calvert-Lewin in recent years is Jamie Vardy, who went on an eight-game scoring run for Leicester City in 2019.
