La Petite Maison's Drink – The Method

We present a simplified interpretation of a drink from our latest cocktail list. It's a batch pre-mixed that's loaded with tastes of a festive period, rendering it excellent for a celebration. Reserve the remaining cordial to use in morning drinks, desserts, or for additional servings of bikinis.

The Bikini Cocktail

Serves 10 guests

To make the Clementine Cordial (produces 750ml)

300ml fresh clementine juice
200ml newly squeezed lemon juice
500g fine sugar

To make the Drink (makes 850ml, to serve 10)

400ml premium vodka
100ml London dry gin
150ml peach-flavored liqueur
200ml citrus syrup (see above)
Whole cranberries, for garnish
Mandarin essential oil, for finishing

Directions

Making the Syrup: Put the listed components inside a saucepan, heat until it reaches a gentle boil, mixing until the sugar dissolves. Then, turn off the heat and leave to cool down fully. Transfer into a sterilised bottle, cap it and refrigerate it chilled, it will last for up to a month.

For the Batch Mix: Mix all the spirits and syrup into one sizeable container, leave to sit for one hour, then strain , ideally through a fine cloth, to ensure it's fully clarified.

When ready to serve: Add 85ml of your batch mix into your stirring glass packed with ice, and agitate carefully for a minute until cold. Filter to a cold coupe glass or a similar vessel, decorate with a few cranberries and finish by giving it a brief mist of the essential oil over the top.
