Hazbin Hotel's Creator Has Seen Fans' Second Season Predictions — With Some Good News

The highly-awaited second season of the musical adult cartoon Hazbin Hotel launches on the streaming platform soon, and audience theories has been intense.

The first season introduces a diverse group of characters living within the afterlife, pits them against each other with songs about their clashes, and builds tense rivalries and angsty, affectionate connections that fuel fan obsession.

The fandom's stated hopes for season 2 vary widely, but certain themes emerge over and over: Will a fan-favorite character escape his tormentor? Might we learn more about the mysterious "deal" constraining the enigmatic Alastor? Might certain characters' relationships evolve?

"Naturally, I don't produce the show with audience demands as the main goal," the creator stated recently. "However I believe that me being a devotee of the series means there's a lot of it just naturally. I also want to see these things, and I hope some of these things to occur, and obviously some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

She reveals her big-picture plan is for five seasons of Hazbin Hotel. Future installments have received approval by the production companies, which produce the series.

That might mean fans have to wait years for some of the major resolutions — but they could be shocked at how fast season 2 moves, and how much of what they're anticipating unfolds now.

"I believe people are going to be highly satisfied," the creator notes. "There are several debut moments. I think we receive some really amazing reveals, some fascinating origin tales, and even just simple things, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] We're going to hear much more singing from the characters we didn't get to hear before."

She's certainly aware of the guesses and hopes about season 2 — particularly in the format of fan bingo cards.

"I've seen a couple people create a bingo card about the new season," she says. "Naturally I can't post it, but I've actually done a few items, and nearly every one of them have almost a bingo. I thought, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that makes me think we accomplish much [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I was like, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that makes me happy."

Hazbin Hotel the second season premieres on the streaming service on Oct. 29.
